Fact of the Day
No! When we look at the original Greek of Acts 20, the apostle Paul and his fellow Christians…
- MET (Greek is “a religious meeting”) on
- THE first day of the week (Greek is “each and every without exception”)
- TO break bread (Greek is “in a religious sense”)
Later that night, they “broke bread and ATE” (Greek here is different – metabolized).
The Law of Moses said the Jews had to “remember THE Sabbath day to keep it holy.” They understood “the” to mean each and every.
