Oops of the Day
The stone in front of Jesus’ burial cave had been rolled away.
John 20:1 – Matthew 28:2 – Mark 16:4 – Luke 24:2 – Mark 9:26
Fact of the Day
No! The word for “taken away” in Greek is “aero-menon” meaning it flew away. The word used by Matthew, Mark and Luke for how the stone was moved means to wallow around such as in with the demon-possessed young man: that threw him into a terrible convulsion (i.e., so that he wallowed on the ground).
