Daniel was still alive when Esther married Xerxes (Ahaseurus), emperor of the Persian Empire, and her grandson was King DARIUS, son of Xerxes (Ahaseurus) as mentioned in Daniel 9.

Fact of the Day 

No! It seems like a strong possibility since Esther and Daniel were both in Persia.  So,when Ezra wrote an account of these events, he was meticulous with his dates.

  • DANIEL b. c. 610 BC into Jerusalem’s royal family.
  • To Babylon with the rest of the royal family 594 when he may have been age 16?
  • King XyaXARES of Media was Darius the Mede’s grandfather.
  • KING DARIUS I (THE MEDE), reigned 522-486 using the Law of the Medes and Persians. 
  • In 520 when Daniel had the vision, he was c. 90 years old.
  • Esther’s Artaxerxes was much later.
  • KING XERXES I reigned 486-who m. ESTHER d. 464
  • King Artaxerxes I:  reigned 464-423 (her son?)
  • His grandson was Darius II, who reigned 424–404 BC

DANIEL WOULD HAVE BEEN 186 YEARS OLD IN DARIUS II’s 1ST YEAR.

Job was covered with boils.

Fact of the Day 

No!  The Hebrew root word is to burn and was translated sometimes as boil and sometimes as leprosy. 

The disease Job had was elephantiasis, a marked and strongly developed form of leprosy. This disease creates an intense HEAT, a burning and ulcerous swelling. It is leprosy in its most terrible form, taking its name from the appearance of the body, which is covered with a knotty, cancerous bark like the hide of an elephant.  He was so deformed by his disease, his friends did not recognize him.

Read about this disease in dictionaries and compare it with the scriptures where it describes his disease, as noted above.
