John the Baptist was just a wild hermit wearing wild clothes and eating grasshoppers and honey in the wilderness.

Fact of the Day

No!  John’s father was an educated, experienced, and well-respected priest which means John was also a priest.  Why he took off his priestly garments and wore leather and fur is another surprise for another day.
