Thursday 8/23 ~ What will be in your Book in heaven?

The scripture for today, August 23 (8/23), is 2nd Kings 8:23 as found in the Old Testament of the Bible:

0-Joseph-Cover-Thumbnail“As for the other events of Jehoram’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?”

All the years of this great king’s life were reduced to a few pages in a book. When you die, what will there be to write about? Will people list only the date and place of your birth, marriage, and death ~ your statistics? What will you be remembered for? What will be in your obituary?

Better still, what is God writing about you in his books? “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne and books were opened. Another book was opened which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books” (Revelation 12).

Will your book be thin with not a lot worth writing about? Will it be thick and full of all you’ve accomplished for good and God in this life? What will be in your book?

You are an excellent author and I am so glad I stumbled on to your books on Amazon. I have read Joseph, Lazarus, Mephiboset,, and am almost through with Paul. I can’t wait
for evening time to sit down and read, read, read!! Thank you dear God for giving Katheryn the gift to write. When I read about these people in the Bible, their lives come to life because you have filled in the details. I also get your daily inspirational thoughts.

  2. Thank you so much, Joyce. Joseph is my all-time favorite. By the way, Amazon put an old 2016 review at the top of my reviews with one star and saying how terrible it is. Nothing I can do about it. But two more people have followed her example — you know, the “flocks together” thing. If you have read or will be reading Luke, could you put a review on Amazon? People read those reviews. Luke was my top seller for a long time until Amazon moved this review to the top.

Again, thank you. I have been busy all year trying to get my THEY MET JESUS turned into a TV series and have written 85 scripts. By mid-September I’ll know their answer and will write my next biblical historical novel. I have decided on Aquila. What do you think?
